EKNÜ was working in a clandestine manner. It published ''Noor Proletaarlane'' (1921) and ''Noor Tööline'' (1922-1923).〔See (Estonian Literary Museum archives ) for the dates of publication. There does not seem to be any available translation to English.〕 There are other publications from the EKNÜ that were written by Kalju Tiro.〔(List of Estonian writers. ) See number 110 (Tiro, Kalju) on the list.〕 EKNÜ was a section of the Communist Youth International.〔(Youth Communist International ) Marxist History website.〕 After the incorporation of Estonia into the Soviet Union on 6 August 1940,〔Siemer, Kaari ("Who is Red on the outside and white inside?" ) University of Tartu. This is one article in Chapter 2 of a collection entitled, ''Studies on Oral Histories, Life, and Family Stories,'' edited by Tiiu Jaago in collaboration with Mare Kõiva and Kairika KärsnaISBN: 9985-4-0268-5.〕 EKNÜ merged into the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (VLKSM).〔 The Estonian branch of VLKSM had the name 'Leninist Young Communist League of Estonia' (''Eestimaa Leninlik Kommunistlik Noorsooühing'', ELKNÜ).〔Nelson, Daniel N.
